Committed to education and diversity in composition, NYVS partnered for many years with the ASCAP Foundation and the BMI Foundation. presenting 50 premiere performances by emerging composers. Its New Notes Initiative, launched recently, mentors and performs works by composers ages 12–29, dedicating one full concert each season to these young artists.

This program reflects the group’s belief in the future of American choral music and its role as a community-engaged arts nonprofit.
